Once again this week just flew by! I didn't have changes so Elder Real and I are here for another 6 weeks at least. At the end of this change Elder Real will have 7.5 months here in this area! Crazy. I keep telling him that there must be something else here that the Lord needs him to do.
We have been working with the same 4 families and we have the same struggle with all of them: none of them want to come to church! It is sad when people understand exactly what the Lord expects of them but still choose not to obey. We are being patient, however, and hopefully we will start to see more progress.
We found a new little area that is in the outskirts of our area and Elder Real had never contacted in the area before so last night we decided to dedicate about 4 hours to contacting this part of our area! We found 4 new families and contacted about 23 people in total and made return visits with a lot of them which we are really excited about. As of right now the work is a little slow but we are working hard to turn it around!
The weather has been much cooler this week because it rained a couple times. However, every time it rains it's nearly impossible to breath after because it gets so humid! The temperature isn't that hot but due to the humidity I'm still constantly sweating!
I got the package on friday that the young women from the ward sent. Tell them thank you for the blanket and all the nice cards! According to the postage the package was sent about exactly a month ago so I'm assuming any other packages that are sent will take about the same amount of time!

I have come to the conclusion that the state of Utah does A LOT of donating. This week I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said, CROWN BURGERS Layton, Utah. I also saw a guy with a Cottonwood High school football shirt! It's so weird to see people wearing clothes and things from Utah.
This week we set goals as a companionship so that we always have in our minds what we want to accomplish these next 6 weeks. I have noticed that my desire to serve is growing as I learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are obviously days that are hard and discouraging but I notice that I am always happy when I work my tail off and led the Lord do the rest! I want you to know that I KNOW that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. It is the same church that he established during His earthly ministry, founded upon prophets and apostles who have power and authority given to them from God. I know that Christ is the head of this church! There's not a doubt in mind about that. I can feel the spirit testifying that these things are true every time we teach them. I feel so blessed to be here helping these people to discover what we know to be true!
I love and pray for you all! Love, Elder Parrish
