This week was pretty normal. Elder Mann and I have been working hard together and getting to know each other a little better. We are VERY similar and get along great! The only thing I don't like is that now I'm the short one! I was a lot taller than my last companion, Elder Velasquez, but now Elder Mann is even taller than I am. People keep asking me if I've shrunk. (haha.) Also, Elder Mann and I keep getting told that we both look like Ken dolls. So now the nickname has kind of stuck in the zone.
Yesterday we put baptismal dates with 2 new investigators named Jeffrey and Sandy. Jeffrey is from Michigan and moved to Nicargua after he retired. He only speaks English, but is learning Spanish. He met Sandy, who is Nicaraguan but also speaks English, and they became really good friends. They decided they wanted to dedicate more of their time to their spiritual side of life and came to church a couple Sundays ago to get to know a little bit more about what we believe. We've been teaching them a couple times a week now, and they are really positive. They are both really intelligent, and it has been EXTREMELY hard teaching in English! (haha.) We always get our words mixed up. I now understand what it's really like to speak Spanglish. They accepted a baptismal date for the 19th of October, and have been reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if all we have taught them is true.
Other than that it's been a pretty normal week! I am excited for the rest of this transfer here with Elder Mann.
I love and miss you guys! Adios!
