Hello fam and friends!

This week we had 3 multi-zone conferences on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each conference had about 60 missionaries. All of us were really busy in the office this week, getting all the presentations and games ready for the multi-zone. Our zone´s day was on Tuesday. I got to participate pretty much all day, but there were moments when I had to leave the activities and do things for President or the assistants to the president.

It was a really busy, spiritual week helping out all the missionaries in their conferences. Each day had capacitations (trainings) from President Monestel, classes about different subjects of how we can improve, Book of Mormon Jeopardy, teaching practices, and zone presentations. Our zone´s presentation was really cool, we showed pictures of all the missionaries growing up and then the other zones had to guess who was who.

We put a baptismal date with Pedro and Virginia for the 29th of this month!!! We went and taught them on Wednesday and had a really spiritual lesson. We taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ (faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.) They understood it really well and have the desire to be baptized. The Lord really helped us out with finding this family. This family is VERY prepared! They are married, thank goodness, have never been baptized in another church, and the husband has already been to church twice so he is already comfortable there. They are going to come to church this sunday and we are super excited. The only potential difficulty that we see right now is with alcohol. Pedro drinks on occasion. But last night we taught him a good lesson about the Word of Wisdom and he said he willing to stop drinking and is going to do it. We LOVE this family. As they say here in Nicaragua, this family is PILAS. (Pilas means batteries. When they say pilas they mean to awesome, or someone who just keeps on going. Like an energizer battery or something.) But really we have been praying really hard for this family and have the faith that they will progress.

I am really liking my area. I wish I had more time to work there! We have been finding a lot of great people to teach. The area is a little more poor than my other areas. Managua is a huge city so it has a little bit of everything. Where I am at is usually dangerous at night but the people are just used to seeing missionaries so they don´t bother us. We have actually made friends with all the drunks and thugs so now whenever we pass by they always just say hi to us instead of bothering us! Haha. Our area is pretty much a big square. I would imagine that if you go on google maps and search in managua until you find la retonda universitaria then you would be able to find Hialeah. Hialeah is just a little bit to the North of La retonda universitaria.

Today for pday we are going to go to Granada as an office to go eat at a restaurant and find something to do there in Granada. Being in the office definitely has it´s priviliges. I am hoping that we´ll have time to go visit the family that Elder Chacaj and I baptized when I was in Granada!

I love you all and miss you! I was happy to hear that Box Elder won their homecoming football game. That always motivates the school a lot. Keep me updated on all the news! Especially about how BYU, Utah, and USU is doing :)
