July

Well, it's now officially July. This week I will be completing 18 months since I entered the MTC. I don't know if the time is passing as fast for you guys as it is for me, but it blows my mind that the months keep flying by!

Dinner appointment

This week we received our new mission president. His name is President Russell. We still don't know him that well, but on Wednesday, our zone has a training meeting with him and his wife, along with a couple other zones. We did find out that President Russell lived in Puerto Rico for the first 14 years of his life. He also lived in Uruguay while his dad was serving as a mission president, and he served his mission in Spain. Needless to say, he talks perfect Spanish. Sister Russell is still learning Spanish, and can't speak very much of it yet, but I'm sure she'll learn really fast. I am really excited to get to know them better throughout the next few months and learn all that they have to teach us. I am sure he will only help the mission have more success.

This past week was pretty hectic. We have seen lots of progress in a few of our investigators but we are also searching like crazy to find the people the Lord has prepared for us. The Lord continues to bless us in unexpected ways.

My companion's birthday is on the 4th so I'm thinking about buying him a cake or something.  (Haha.)  I may not get to see fireworks on the 4th, but at least I get to celebrate my comp's birthday with him!

Love you all,
Elder Parrish
