Hello everybody!
This past week was pretty normal. Here in the office I´ve just been working on my secretary responsibilities and in my area we´ve been finding lots of new people to teach! There is a part of my area that is a little dangerous, but Elder Rivera and I have started working there this week, because the past missionaries have never really worked there much. We can only be in the area until 6 because that´s when it starts to get dark, and then we just go back to the main part of our area. We have found a few new families that we are excited to start teaching!
Pedro and Virginia are doing pretty awesome. Last Sunday was Stake Conference and we had church at 10 am instead of 2 pm. They weren´t able to make it to church last week, but we talked with them yesterday and they are really excited for church this Sunday. They both have a really strong desire to get baptized! Last night we taught Pedro about the Word of Wisdom. He has had drinking problems in the past, but hasn´t drank for a month straight now and says that he´s never felt so happy in his life! We tried to help him realize that the happiness is part of the blessings that the Lord will give him as he obeys the Word of Wisdom. He has a strong determination to never drink again and give a good example to his kids. We´re going to do all we can to help him out! It is great to see how the Lord has strengthened and blessed him in the short time that he has been learning about the restored gospel.

October is coming up fast. I can´t believe it! I am loving the chance the Lord has given me to serve here in Nicaragua. I feel like the part I do is so little, but I know that the Lord sees every little effort we give to help His work progress.

Love and miss y'all!
