Lovin' Life in Nicaragua

Lovin' Life in Nicaragua

Well, I have literally like 5 minutes or less to write, because we got back late from a district activity! Today for P-day, we woke up early and went for a hike to a little mountain outside of Granada that looks over Lake Nicaragua to watch the sunrise and take pictures. After eating chinese food for lunch, we went to the church and watched "The Other Side of Heaven" and made brownies. We just barely got done, so I don't have much time to write, because we've got to leave to an appointment!

Conference was incredible. I loved every minute of it.  I loved so many talks for specific reasons. Almost every talk mentioned missionary work in some way or another. The Lord really is pruning His vineyard for the last time. And He trust ME to help him! I guess it's true when the prophet and apostles say that God sees us not as we are, but as who we can become. I feel like I still have a long ways to go to be all the He wants me to be.  I absolutely loved something that Elder Holland said. He said something like, "God is perfect...but imperfect people are all God has ever had to work with!" It made me think...If God, an immortal, perfect being, can be patient with us, then why can't we? We need to be patient with ourselves and others and trust in the Lord's timing.  I wish I had time to explain more of the spiritual impressions that I felt, but I'll have to leave that for next week. They talked a lot about eternal families and missionary work and couldn't help but feel so blessed to be where I am, sharing the true gospel of Jesus Christ and helping families come together forever.
I love you all and miss you!

District Granada

This week I saw something absolutely crazy...a husband driving his motorcycle down the road with his wife on the backseat. She was holding on to her husband with one hand and in her other hand was holding and nursing her baby that had to have been only 2 months old. Talk about dangerous!
